High School Bowlers Advance
to State Finals Competition

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Pendleton Heights boy's team and the Anderson girl's team claimed the title of Semi- State Champs on Sat., February 17 at the Richmond 40 Bowl in Richmond. These teams will be advancing to the State Finals at Cooper’s Sport Bowl in Anderson on Sat., February 24. Other boys' teams advancing include Brownsburg, Shelbyville and Huntington North. Other girls' teams advancing include Ft. Wayne Snider, Huntington North and Lawrence North.
          Individual Semi-State Champs are Zach Corbin of Avon for the boys and Kayla Rector of Anderson for the girls. Please see the list at the end of this release for other individual bowlers advancing with their schools and their series scores.
          The Indiana High School Bowling State Finals competition will begin at 9 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) with teams bowling first and individual competition directly following at 2 p.m. Admission is $8 for students and $10 for adults. Children six and under are admitted free.
          The Indiana High School Bowling program is sponsored by the Indiana Bowling Centers Association, Inc. and bowling centers throughout Indiana. During the 2006-2007 season, 99 bowling centers throughout 20 conferences sponsored 170 schools for a total of 319 boys and girls teams.
