High School Bowlers Advance
to State Finals Competition

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Hammond Clark boy's team and the Muncie Southside girl's team claimed the title of Semi- State Champs on Sat., February 17 at Stardust II bowling center in Merrillville. These teams will be advancing to the State Finals at Cooper’s Sport Bowl in Anderson on Sat., February 24. Other boys' teams advancing include Crown Point, Griffith and New Prairie. Other girls' teams advancing include Elkhart Memorial, Lake Central and Crown Point.
          Individual Semi-State Champs are Cory Lee of Marion for the boys and Chelsea Farrell of Elkhart Memorial for the girls. Please see the list at the end of this release for other individual bowlers advancing with their schools and their series scores.
          The Indiana High School Bowling State Finals competition will begin at 9 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) with teams bowling first and individual competition directly following at 2 p.m. Admission is $8 for students and $10 for adults. Children six and under are admitted free.
          The Indiana High School Bowling program is sponsored by the Indiana Bowling Centers Association, Inc. and bowling centers throughout Indiana. During the 2006-2007 season, 99 bowling centers throughout 20 conferences sponsored 170 schools for a total of 319 boys and girls teams.
