Contact: Steve Kunkel, IBCA FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - updated 2/25/07 Indiana High School Bowling Advisory Board Names Academic All-State Team for Boys and Girls Indianapolis, IN - The Indiana High School Bowling Program (IHSB) has named its 2006-2007 Academic All-State Teams for Boys and Girls. Criteria for nominees were to be a Senior that has competed in at least one varsity game, a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent and a minimum SAT score of 1500 or an ACT score of 22. The Indiana High School Bowling Advisory Board selected twenty-five Boys and seventeen Girls Academic All State recipients.
The IHSB Program, in its eighth season, will honor the Academic All State Teams for both Boys and Girls. Honorees for the Academic All State Teams will be recognized at the 2007 High School Bowling State Finals at Coopers Sport Bowl in Anderson, Indiana on Saturday, February 24 at 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The 2006-2007 regular high school bowling season which included 319 teams represented 170 Indiana high schools, will end February 24. The program is sponsored by the Indiana Bowling Centers Association and bowling centers throughout Indiana. This season, 99 host-bowling centers financially supported the High School Bowling program including the coaches’ salaries, uniforms, bowling fees, awards and college scholarships.
